These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Football Lord mobile application, its website at footballlord.com and all related services (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Football Lord LLC, Wyoming, USA ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account, continuing as a guest or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. How we process your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Football Lord is and is not

1.1. Football Lord is a free-to-play football knowledge and strategy game. Each week you receive a virtual budget, choose ("rent") the home or away team of real football matches, and earn in-game points based on match results, in-match events and optional side questions.

1.2. Football Lord is not gambling and not betting.

  • You never stake, wager or risk real money or anything of real-world value.
  • The weekly budget, Lord Coins, points, badges and all other in-game items (together, "Virtual Items") have no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for money, cashed out, sold, transferred to other users or redeemed for goods or services outside the Service.
  • No cash prizes are offered. Real-world prizes are offered only if a specific competition is published with separate official rules (see Section 9).

1.3. Football Lord is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by any football club, league, federation (including FIFA and UEFA), player or rights holder. Club, league, competition and player names are used solely to identify real matches for informational purposes. All trademarks, logos and names belong to their respective owners.

1.4. Match data (fixtures, scores, line-ups, events, statistics and standings) is provided by third-party data providers. We do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate or timely (see Section 7).

2. Eligibility

2.1. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your country (for example, 16 in some EU countries), you may use the Service only with the consent of your parent or legal guardian.

2.2. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. Any purchase must be made with their permission.

2.3. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law, or if we have previously suspended or terminated your account.

3. Your account

3.1. You can use the Service as a guest or sign in with Google, Apple or another method we offer. Guest progress may be lost if you delete the app or change devices.

3.2. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure and for all activity on your account. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.

3.3. One person, one account. Creating or operating multiple accounts, sharing accounts, or buying, selling or transferring accounts is not allowed.

3.4. Your manager name, club name and profile picture must not impersonate anyone, infringe anyone's rights, or be offensive, discriminatory, sexual, or promote gambling, violence or illegal activity. We may change or remove names or images that break these rules.

4. Game rules

4.1. You may choose only the home or away team of a match; there is no draw option. A team's rental price is calculated once and then fixed. Rentals lock at kick-off. Detailed rules are shown in the app and form part of these Terms.

4.2. Points are calculated automatically from the match data we receive. If that data is corrected after the fact (for example, a goal is re-assigned, a match is abandoned, postponed or its result is changed), we may recalculate points, rankings and rewards, including after they were awarded.

4.3. We may change game rules, scoring, prices, limits, rewards and the in-game economy at any time to keep the game fair and balanced. Material changes will be announced in the app.

5. Fair play and acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use cheats, bots, scripts, automation, emulators used to gain an advantage, modified clients, or exploit bugs (report bugs to us instead);
  • manipulate rankings, club tournaments or rewards, including through multiple accounts or collusion;
  • interfere with rewarded advertisements, for example by generating artificial views or clicks, or using tools to obtain ad rewards without genuinely watching the ad;
  • harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against other users, or post spam, advertising, links to gambling or betting services, sexual content, personal data of others, or illegal content in chats, club names or any other user content;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, scrape or overload the Service, or access it other than through the official app and website;
  • use the Service for any commercial purpose or in breach of applicable law.

We may investigate suspected breaches and, depending on severity, issue warnings, remove content, reset or remove Virtual Items, points and rankings obtained in breach of these Terms, and temporarily or permanently suspend accounts.

6. Virtual Items, purchases and rewarded ads

6.1. Licence, not ownership. Virtual Items are licensed to you; you do not own them. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use them within the Service only.

6.2. Purchases. Where in-app purchases are offered, they are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Purchased Virtual Items are delivered to your account after the store confirms payment.

6.3. Refunds. Except where required by law, purchases are final. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. If a refund is granted, we may remove the corresponding Virtual Items. Consumers in the EU and Turkey acknowledge that delivery of digital content begins immediately after purchase and, to the extent permitted by law, that the right of withdrawal is lost once delivery has begun.

6.4. Rewarded advertisements. Watching rewarded ads is entirely optional. Rewards are granted only after the advertising network confirms that the ad was watched. Daily, hourly and waiting-time limits apply and may change. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads.

6.5. Virtual Items may be changed, rebalanced or discontinued. If the Service is shut down, unused Virtual Items will expire without compensation, except where applicable law requires otherwise. We will give reasonable notice of a shutdown in the app.

7. Match data and availability

7.1. The Service relies on third-party sports data. Data may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect, and matches may be postponed, abandoned or cancelled. The information in the Service is provided for entertainment and must not be used for betting or any financial decision.

7.2. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may suspend the Service for maintenance or updates, and may change, add or remove features.

8. User content and chats

8.1. You are responsible for anything you post (messages, club names and descriptions, profile pictures and other content: "User Content"). You keep any rights you have in your User Content and grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, translate and distribute it within the Service for as long as it is available there.

8.2. Messages may be automatically translated for other users using third-party translation services.

8.3. You are responsible for holding the rights to any profile photo you upload (including club crests and logos). Profile photos pass an automatic safety check and our team's approval before others can see them; we may reject or remove, without prior notice, photos we find inappropriate or must remove at a rights holder's request. Uploading a profile photo is a Lord Pass benefit; when Lord Pass ends your photo is hidden, and it returns when you renew.

8.4. Other users can report content. We may review, moderate and remove User Content, and keep moderation records, to enforce these Terms and comply with law. We do not monitor all content and are not responsible for User Content posted by others.

9. Competitions with real-world prizes

9.1. Unless we publish a specific competition, the Service does not offer real-world prizes.

9.2. If we organise a competition with real-world prizes, it will be governed by separate official rules published before it starts, which will set out at least: the organiser, eligibility (including minimum age and eligible countries), the period, how winners are determined, the prizes, and how winners are contacted. If those rules conflict with these Terms, the official rules prevail for that competition.

9.3. Participation in any such competition will always be free; no purchase will be necessary to enter or to win, and purchases will not improve your chances.

9.4. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not sponsors of, and are not involved in, any competition we organise.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, graphics, text, sounds and the generic team shields we create, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the licence in Section 6.1 and your right to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes, no rights are granted to you.

11. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party services such as Apple and Google sign-in, Firebase, advertising networks and sports data providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

12. Suspension and termination

12.1. You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account, or as described at footballlord.com/delete-account.

12.2. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users or the Service. Banned users may submit an appeal from within the app.

12.3. On termination, your licence to Virtual Items ends and they are lost without compensation, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 1.2, 6, 10, 13, 14 and 16) survive termination.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of data and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

14. Limitation of liability

14.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, Virtual Items, rankings, profits or goodwill.

14.2. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) 50 euros.

14.3. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will show the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app at least 14 days in advance where reasonably possible. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

16. Governing law and disputes

16.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

16.2. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue.

16.3. The courts and enforcement offices of Wyoming, Türkiye, have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings before the consumer arbitration committees or consumer courts of your place of residence, and you keep any mandatory protection given by the law of your country of residence.

17. Miscellaneous

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. If the English and Turkish versions of these Terms differ, the Turkish version prevails for users resident in Türkiye and the English version prevails for all other users.
